Collins : Matthew Tunnicliffe leads division A with a 9-2 record. Joshua Castellano, Josh Sokol, and Erickson Smith are all within striking range
Niel Gan and Sohaib Sanaulla are both 10-1 in division B, with Justin Morris at 8-3

The tournament got a visit from the Mayor of Belleville, Neil R. Ellis, to kick things off on Saturday.
Players enjoyed a visit from our Loyalist College Mascot friends, Sharkie and Lanny. All player photos with these two will be posted on the Let's Play Scrabble and Instagram pages soon.
There were a handful of Scrabble newcomers from the local community who visited the tournament. They were warmly greeted by our Scrabble ambassadors Farrah and Marcia, and walked away with a package of 'Tips and Tricks' and a positive impression of our competitive Scrabble scene.
Finally, Hosted Dinners continue to bear fruit, connecting Scrabblers for fun and friendly dining experiences.

How to get Paid
Prizes $100 or greater are awarded electronically (Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, CashApp, ApplePay) or by check. If you win a prize, you'll receive a envelope with a payment survey inside it. We ask that you fill out the survey and return it to us on site, before you leave. You can expect to receive it within a few days after the tournament ends.

Word Cup 2023 saw the introduction of a new social event: hosted dinners, which offered players the opportunity to sign up for a group dinner with their favorite Scrabble players, Today's winning Pic of the Day comes from Hannah Lieberman, who hosted this group dinner at Toro, an upscale Mexican restaurant near the venue.
